Layton got into DnB and jungle back in the 90s,dabbling in production and DJing till the early 2000s. After a 15 year break he inspired to get back into the scene by nights like Rupture and labels like Repertoire.

Layton is heavily influenced by the sounds that from when he first developed a love for the D&B scene, from Techstep, Liquid and Jungle through to Drumfunk, Halftime and the more experimental underground side of rave and breakbeat that exploded throughout the 90s and early 2000s.
