Manchester based Atlas & K Super have been dabbling in music production since the mid 2010’s, but have begun to pick up the pace in recent years. Aside from making music they promote Certain Sounds, an event they launched in 2018 which has hosted the likes of Nookie & PFM in that time.
The two are familiar faces in the North West's underground and free party scene and they can usually be found drawing for records at 3am at an unknown location on the Pick & Mix Soundsystem, for which the two are residents.
Whether its producing or deejaying they are largely influenced by the vibes and sounds they witnessed in their teens being showcased at Manchester’s legendary Audiosalad. A melting pot of timeless music and next level atmosphere, this introduction had a massive impact and set the foundations from then on.
A turning point was the release of their track Kira which featured on Ruff Cutz – The Pullin Teeth EP in 2019, since then the two have been working toward producing quality breakbeat driven Jungle + Drum & Bass on a regular basis, kicking up their production rate and cutting dubs as often as possible.
Their tracks are an reflection of their extensive record collection with each track inspired by a separate section of their shelves, ranging from Drumfunk to Oldskool Hardcore.
